Last weekend, the 3rd National Tuberculosis Innovation Forum was successfully held in Xiamen, China. Professor Songyang Zhou, the founder and head scientist of Pluslife, delivered a speech titled "Innovative Molecular POCT Empowers Decentralized Scenario of TB Diagnosis." Mr. Chen Chong, the CEO of Pluslife Biotech, was invited as a special guest to the forum.

The Forum is organized by the Innovation Alliance on Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment (IATB) with the support of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Numerous domestic and foreign TB experts and researchers were invited to the forum, engaging in discussions on technological innovations in TB diagnosis and treatment. The forum aims to promote innovation in the fields of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of TB nationwide, thereby contributing to the ultimate goal of ending TB.

According to the 2023 WHO Global Tuberculosis Report, every year 10.6 million people are estimated to get TB, while 3.1 million estimated cases remain undiagnosed. There is an urgent need for new and improved diagnostics to detect these missing cases.
