Bringing Molecular TB Testing Closer to Care

At the WHA side event Chinese Innovations for Tuberculosis: From Technology Landscape to Global Impact, co-convened by Stop TB Partnership and Peking University School of Public Health in Geneva on 21 May 2026, Pluslife joined the innovator spotlight to discuss how NPOC-NAATs can help close gaps in TB testing access.

Our presentation focused on MiniDock MTB and the practical requirements for decentralized implementation: simplified sputum and tongue-swab workflows, compact instrumentation, around 30-minute time to result, and evidence generation across multi-country and primary-care settings.

The event brought Chinese TB innovators into direct dialogue with national TB programmes, implementers, policymakers, and global partners. For Pluslife, the discussion reflected a clear direction: molecular testing needs to move closer to care, supported by evaluation, regulation, algorithm integration, and linkage to treatment.
